Performance Advantages of LLDPE Lotrene Q2018C

  • Outstanding processing stability. The vapor-phase polymerization method imparts a narrow molecular weight distribution to the resin, resulting in strong bubble stability during extrusion and thickness tolerance within ±3%, making it suitable for high-speed film production lines.
  • The film offers balanced mechanical properties. Its tensile yield strength at 23°C reaches 8.5 MPa, and its right-angle tear strength reaches ≥80 kN/m in the longitudinal direction and ≥60 kN/m in the transverse direction, allowing it to withstand the stretching and impact during packaging and transportation.
  • Strong compatibility with composites. Lotrene Q2018C can be blended with LDPE, HDPE, or metallocene PE (mPE) in any ratio, allowing the film’s stiffness, transparency, and heat-sealing properties to be adjusted through coextrusion.
  • Low precipitation. The absence of anti-blocking agents prevents precipitation from contaminating the packaging contents, making it suitable for applications requiring high cleanliness.

Main Application Areas

  • Food Packaging: This core material is used in frozen food films, bread bags, and prepared food packaging. Its excellent low-temperature impact resistance (≥90% elongation retention at break at -20°C) and barrier properties extend the shelf life of food.
  • Industrial Packaging: LLDPE Q2018C is used in the manufacture of shopping bags, express delivery bags, and heavy-duty packaging films. Its puncture resistance protects sharp or heavy items from damage during transportation.
  • Composite Packaging: This material can be used as a laminated film base material, laminated with materials such as PET and aluminum foil, for the sealant layer of liquid packaging for sauces, beverages, and other liquids. Its heat seal strength is ≥3.5N/15mm.

Compliance and Sustainability

  • Full range of safety certifications. Q2018C LLDPE resin complies with food contact standards such as EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR §177.1520, and has also passed food contact certification in multiple countries, including China, Japan, and India.
  • Environmentally friendly and recyclable. 100% recyclable, recycled material can be reprocessed into recycled PE film with a performance retention rate of ≥80%, meeting the needs of a circular economy.
