Main Applications of Exxonmobil HDPE HTA 108
Due to its unique formula and excellent performance, Exxonmobil HTA 108 has a wide range of applicability in many fields such as packaging and industrial applications.
- Packaging film. Suitable for packaging of food, medicine, daily necessities and other commodities, providing excellent protection and aesthetics.
- Industrial packaging. In logistics, warehousing and other fields, as a cargo packaging material, ensure the safety of cargo during transportation and storage.
- Shrink film. Using its good heat shrinkage and strength, shrink film is made for packaging and fixing products.
- Multilayer packaging film. Co-extruded with other materials (such as LLDPE, mLLDPE, etc.) to form a multilayer composite film to improve the comprehensive performance of the packaging.
- Frozen film. In frozen food packaging, HDPE HTA 108 resin can keep its performance unaffected by low temperatures, ensuring the safety and freshness of food.
Product Features
- High density. HTA 108 resin has the typical high density characteristics of HDPE, about 0.961g/cm³, which gives it excellent mechanical strength and barrier properties.
- Excellent processability. The resin shows good fluidity during processing, and the melt flow rate is moderate (MFR is about 0.70g/10min), which makes it easy to process operations such as extrusion and film blowing, and also helps to improve production efficiency.
- High strength and toughness. Exxonmobil HTA 108 resin performs well in tensile strength and elongation at break. The tensile strength in MD and TD directions is as high as 60.0MPa and 131.0MPa, respectively, and the elongation at break is also high, which ensures that the film is not easy to break when subjected to external force and has good flexibility.
- Good barrier properties. As a high-density polyethylene, HDPE HTA 108 resin performs well in gas and moisture barrier, and is suitable for packaging applications that require high barrier properties.
- Heat resistance. The high Vicat softening temperature (about 127°C) indicates that the resin can maintain stable performance in high temperature environments and is suitable for application scenarios that require a certain degree of heat resistance.
