HDPE 5000S is a high-density polyethylene material typically manufactured via slurry polymerization or gas-phase polymerization processes. It is widely classified as a yarn grade material, specifically developed for extrusion applications such as monofilament, filament, and woven products.

With its balanced combination of mechanical strength, processability, and durability, HDPE 5000S has become one of the most mature and widely used grades in the global polyolefin market.

Important Uses of HDPE 5000S

(1) Raffia & Woven Products. HDPE 5000S is widely used in the production of woven bags for rice, cement, and fertilizers, as well as bulk bags (FIBC) and tarpaulins, offering excellent strength and durability for heavy-duty packaging.

(2) Monofilament Applications. It is ideal for manufacturing fishing nets, ropes, twines, and agricultural nets, thanks to its superior drawability and high tensile strength.

(3) Industrial Uses. The material is also suitable for strapping tapes, geotextiles, and protective fabrics, where consistent performance, toughness, and long service life are required.

What Is The Product Characteristics?

  • High tensile strength and stiffness. Ensures excellent load-bearing capacity in harsh applications.
  • Excellent tensile properties. Suitable for producing high-quality flat yarns and monofilaments.
  • Excellent processability. Stable melt flow characteristics for smooth and efficient extrusion.
  • Good abrasion and impact resistance. Enhancing durability for end applications such as ropes and fabrics.
  • Superior chemical resistance. Resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including acids and alkalis.

Handling & Storage

To maintain product quality, the following guidelines are recommended:

  • Store in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
  • Protect from moisture, dust, and contamination.
  • Keep packaging sealed until use.
  • Use proper material handling systems to avoid pellet damage.
