With a vinyl acetate (VA) content of 28 wt.%, it offers a well-balanced combination of adhesion, flexibility, and melt processability, making it suitable for applications such as binding, coating, packaging, and selected industrial bonding systems.

VA800 features a melt flow index of 20 g/10 min, a density of 0.950 g/cm³, and a melting point of approximately 69°C. Its low melting and softening temperatures facilitate efficient thermal processing, while the EVA copolymer structure promotes good substrate wetting and adhesion.

  1. Hot Melt Adhesives. It is primarily positioned as a raw material for hot melt adhesive formulations. It can be incorporated with tackifying resins, waxes, antioxidants, plasticizers, and other functional additives to develop adhesive systems with application-specific viscosity, open time, tack, and bonding performance.
  2. Bookbinding and Paper Converting. The resin is suitable for hot melt adhesive systems used in binding and paper-related converting processes. Its melt flow characteristics facilitate rapid application, while the EVA polymer structure contributes to adhesion and flexibility in the finished bond.
  3. Packaging Adhesives. LOTTE VA800 can be used in hot melt formulations for selected packaging applications where efficient melt application and dependable substrate adhesion are required. Its processing profile makes it suitable for adhesive systems applied through thermal coating or extrusion-based processes.
  4. Automotive Mat Coating. The grade is also associated with coating applications for high-end automotive mats. Its combination of flexibility, adhesion, and melt processability makes it suitable for selected automotive interior coating formulations.
  5. Industrial Adhesive and Coating Systems. Beyond conventional hot melt adhesives, EVA VA800 can serve as a polymer component in selected industrial bonding and coating formulations.
