Introduction of Wankai PET Resin

Wankai PET resin is in uniform milky white granules at room temperature, and has good stability, flame retardancy, etc. Its independently developed “bio-based high-transparency heat-resistant PEIT resin” has a temperature resistance of over 140°C, a light transmittance of 93%, and food-grade safety characteristics. Therefore, they are widely used in food packaging such as drinking water, hot canned beverages, carbonated beverages, edible oil, and alcohol, as well as packaging in the electronics and light industry fields such as films, sheets, industrial yarns, and cosmetics.

Bottle Grade PET Resin

Wankai supplies a wide range of PET resin grades, including bottle-grade PET and non-bottle-grade PET, which are designed for applications such as film extrusion, BOPET production, fiber/yarn, photovoltaic backsheet materials, and other industrial uses.

The bottle grade Wankai pet resin can be widely used in the production of bottle packing containers. What’s more, these grades meets international food grade safety standards including compliance with EU regulations and FDA approval.

Practical Guidelines for Grade Selection

Selecting the appropriate Wankai PET resin depends on the intended application, processing method, and final product requirements. The key is to match resin characteristics such as intrinsic viscosity (IV), acetaldehyde content (AA), thermal stability, transparency, and compliance with the end-use specifications.

Define end-use clearly: water bottle, carbonated drink, hot-fill, oil bottle, sheet/film, fiber, industrial packaging, etc.
List key performance requirements: mechanical strength, clarity, heat resistance, chemical stability, processing method, and transparency.
Consult PET specifications: IV, AA, melting point, transparency, and match them to the desired grade.
Request technical data sheets (TDS) / certificates of analysis (COA) from the supplier and, if possible, conduct small-batch trials to verify mechanical properties, transparency, gas barrier, and taste migration.
Ensure proper processing: PET must be thoroughly dried before melt processing to avoid hydrolysis, molecular weight reduction, and haze formation.
