High Rutile Content & Excellent Whiteness. Titanium dioxide R-249 features a rutile crystal content above 96% and a TiO₂ content of at least 96%, ensuring high brightness, pure whiteness, and outstanding covering power in final applications.
Outstanding Dispersibility. The pigment is surface-treated with a tailored combination of inorganic coatings and organic modifiers, allowing easy dispersion in polymers, solvent-based systems, water-borne systems, and masterbatches. It minimizes agglomeration, improves dispersion uniformity, and enhances end-product appearance.
Low Oil Absorption & Low Volatile Content. With an oil absorption value around 17 g/100 g and a volatile content below 0.5%, R-249 enables stable processing, reduces binder demand, and provides excellent compatibility with plastic resins.
Strong Hiding Power & Tinting Strength. The pigment offers high opacity (relative tinting strength ≥ 1800), enabling efficient coloring at reduced dosage. It delivers clean whiteness, high tinting efficiency, and stable optical performance.
Excellent Heat Resistance & Weathering Performance
- High heat resistance, suitable for high-temperature polymer processing.
- Good hydrophobicity and anti-yellowing properties.
- Strong resistance to boiling water, moisture, and environmental exposure, ensuring long-term color stability.
Wide Formulation Compatibility. R-249 titanium dioxide is compatible with a wide range of polymer and coating systems, including PE, PP, PVC, EVA, PET, industrial coatings, and ink formulations.
