Main Applications of HDPE Marlex TR 144

  • T-shirt bags. Due to its high toughness and tear resistance, Marlex HHM TR-144 can hold a certain weight without breaking, making it ideal for making T-shirt bags, suitable for everyday shopping and other applications.
  • Multi-layer linings. This material exhibits excellent environmental stress cracking resistance and good barrier properties, effectively protecting contents from the external environment. HDPE Marlex TR 144 is often used in multi-layer linings, such as those used in multi-layer packaging bags for chemical products and food, to improve the sealing and durability of the packaging.
  • Trash bags. Due to its high strength and puncture resistance, Marlex TR 144 can withstand punctures from sharp objects in garbage and is not easily damaged. Its excellent flexibility also facilitates the shaping and use of garbage bags, making it an ideal material for garbage bags for household, commercial, and industrial waste collection.

Performance Advantages of Marlex HHM TR-144

  • High Tear and Impact Resistance. This resin is suitable for films that need to withstand mechanical stress and loading, even at low temperatures.
  • Excellent ESCR Performance. With over 1000 hours of ESCR testing, HDPE Marlex TR 144 is ideal for demanding packaging applications involving chemicals or external stress.
  • High Strength with Excellent Ductility. Enables the production of thinner films without compromising performance – improving material efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Good Processability. Balanced melt flow properties help ensure consistent processing on standard blown film equipment.
  • Food Contact Compliance. HHM TR 144 HDPE Meets FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 and EU (EU) No.10/2011 regulations, suitable for food-grade packaging applications.

What you should ask your supplier

When requesting a quote for Marlex TR-144, be sure to clarify:

  • Currency, unit (US$/tonne, €/tonne, etc).
  • Grade and specification: Confirm that it’s indeed TR-144 film grade (density ~0.946 g/cm³, MFR ~0.18 g/10 min).
  • Minimum order quantity (MOQ).
  • Packaging: e.g., 25 kg bags, jumbo bags, bulk
  • Delivery terms: FOB, CIF, EXW, destination port, lead time.
  • Quality / certification: Ensure it meets required specs for your film application (food contact, etc).
  • Validity of the quote: Because resin prices change quickly, how long is the quote valid?
