Typical Applications of POE ENGAGE 8100

ENGAGE 8100 is widely used as an impact modifier in polypropylene and polyethylene compounds. It is also applied in thermoplastic elastomer formulations, wire and cable insulation and jacketing compounds, and flexible polyolefin blends requiring toughness and elasticity. Its ability to accommodate fillers makes it suitable for cost-effective compound designs across multiple industries.

Performance Characteristics

  • Outstanding Impact Modification. POE 8100 significantly improves impact strength and toughness when blended with PP or PE, especially at low temperatures. It is highly effective as an impact modifier in rigid and semi-rigid polyolefin applications.
  • Excellent Processability. With optimized molecular architecture and controlled melt flow characteristics, ENGAGE 8100 offers smooth processing on conventional extrusion, injection molding, and compounding equipment. It supports stable processing and consistent product quality.
  • High Flexibility and Elastic Recovery. The material exhibits high elongation at break and rubber-like elasticity, providing excellent flexibility and resilience in finished products.
  • High Filler Acceptance. This grade enables high filler loadings while maintaining good dispersion and processability, making it suitable for cost-effective and performance-balanced compound formulations.
  • Crosslinking Capability. The polymer can be crosslinked using peroxide, silane, or radiation methods. After crosslinking, it demonstrates improved thermal resistance, low compression set, enhanced aging and weathering performance.

Processing & Handling

ENGAGE 8100 POE resin can be processed using standard polyolefin processing equipment. Typical processing temperatures are comparable to those used for LDPE and PP elastomer-modified systems. Proper drying is generally not required under normal storage conditions.
